Yes. Download Arcadia, install it, and choose Start 14-day free trial on the first screen. No card needed. When you're ready, buy a plan and enter your license key. Everything you added during the trial stays put.
Yes — Arcadia is licensed per location, with three ways to pay: Monthly ($49.99/mo, cancel anytime), a Summer Pass for seasonal shops (temporarily paused for new sign-ups; email us if you're interested), or Annual ($499.99/yr, renews yearly, the cheapest per month). A license key unlocks the app and stays valid for the length of your plan. Updates within the same major version (v1.x) are free — you'll be notified right in the app when one's available. See the full breakdown on the pricing section.
You'll land on a thank-you page with the download link right there. Your license key comes by email from arcadiapartstray@gmail.com within one business day (usually much sooner). Paste it on Arcadia's first screen, or in Settings if you're already on the trial, and you're in.
Yes. Monthly and Annual plans can be canceled anytime — just email us — and you keep access through the period you've already paid for.
Arcadia is a Windows desktop app (Windows 10 or 11). The installer is one click — no wizard to click through and no admin rights needed — and it puts an Arcadia shortcut on your Desktop and Start menu.
Arcadia is a new, independent app, so Windows SmartScreen may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" box the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway. You only see it once.
Tap Import on the Parts, Machines or Recurring Tasks page, download the template, fill it in with Excel or Google Sheets, and upload it. Arcadia adds everything at once, skips duplicates, and tells you exactly what it skipped.
Yes — it's built for a whole crew, not one admin account. Everyone signs in with their own shift, so status changes and history are attributed to who made them, not left anonymous.
Turn on the Always-On Dashboard and Projects and Recurring Tasks open in a browser on any phone, tablet, or computer on the shop's own Wi-Fi — no install, changes show up within a few seconds either direction. The rest of the app — parts, machines, manuals, vendor info — still lives on the one computer it's installed on, and syncing across separate locations isn't built yet.
Everything — parts, machines, projects, history — is stored locally on the computer Arcadia is installed on. It's not synced to the cloud or sent anywhere. That's your data; back up the folder however you normally back up files on that machine.
No. Arcadia runs entirely on the computer it's installed on and works fine offline. An internet connection is only used to check for app updates — if it can't reach the internet, it just skips that check and opens normally.
Use File → Open Data Folder (or Settings → Data) and copy that folder to a flash drive or your normal backup. Because nothing lives in the cloud, a backup is how you protect it.
Install Arcadia on the new computer, copy your data folder over from the old one, and enter your license key. One license covers one location.
When a new version is out, Arcadia tells you right in the app. Updates within v1.x are free for license holders, and your data stays exactly where it is. Before running the installer, quit Arcadia completely. If it's running in the system tray (bottom-right of the taskbar), right-click its icon and choose Quit. Newer versions do this for you with a Quit Arcadia now button.
Still stuck? Email us. You'll hear back from the person who built it.
